This Memorial Day, wear blue: run to remember invites every American to join us in honoring fallen service members and their families’ sacrifice.

This Memorial Day, wear blue: run to remember invites runners and walkers to join us in honoring the fallen service member and their family’s sacrifice through purposeful movement. Whether you choose to run or walk one or one hundred miles, wear blue challenges you to commit to a distance that truly honors the sacrifices military families make day-in and day-out.

    What is it?

Every year, wear blue hosts community gatherings across the country on the morning of Memorial Day. These events begin with a Circle of Remembrance where the names of fallen service members are spoken aloud. Afterward, we unite as a living memorial for the fallen service members by committing purposeful miles with a self-paced run or walk. By setting aside a small portion of our morning, we show our gratitude and remembrance for the courage, heroism, and sacrifice of the men and women who have given all.

    Who is invited?

We invite every American to come together on Memorial Day.

    Where can I participate?

We have three ways you can participate!

Join one of our established Memorial Day community gatherings across the country by signing up below.

If there is not a gathering near you, we invite you to host your own Memorial Day event.

OR pledge below to run on your own or with your family.

Be a part of something Big. For the third year, Fleet Feet and Brooks will come together on June 5 to host The Big Run. The annual nationwide 5K brings thousands of runners together on Global Running Day to do what we love most-run.

Last year, 16,000 runners logged 25,000 miles at more than 100 events in more than 20 states. Help us top that number this year. Why? Because we want to bring running to more communities; we want more people to set goals and meet them; we want more people to experience that feeling of accomplishment as they cross the finish line. Because running changes everything.
