    You can enter either the 5K, or the 10K.
    You are welcome to run both but we are not tracking that.
    5K Race starts at 10:00 am, 10K starts at 10:45 am.
    There will be medals for 1st and 2nd place in each age group as well as for Overall, Master, and Grand Overall.
    There will be refreshments, hot chocolate, coffee, and water available.
    Sweatshirts will be given to everyone that registers by 12/17/18.
    We will also have a free pancake breakfast for all runners after the race. Family members can eat to if they make a donation.

    Join Hopeful Hounds, Inc. for the  9th Annual Dog Gone Cold 5k run/walk on January 26, 2019 at the Julian Smith BBQ Pit (3 Milledge Road) in Augusta, GA. The 1-Mile Fun Run will begin at 9:30a.m. and the 5k will begin at 10:00a.m. All runners and walkers are encouraged to participate in the 5k and bring their canine companions! THIS EVENT WILL BE HELD RAIN OR SHINE!

    The Dog Gone Cold 5K Course is USATF CERTIFIED!!! It is USATF Course Certification #GA12083WC.  Take a look at the official USATF map of the course.

    Registration for the Dog Gone Cold 5k or 1-Mile Fun Run: To register for either the Dog Gone Cold 5K or 1-Mile Fun Fun, please do one of the following:

    • Register online at active.com.
    • Download, fill out and return the registration form with payment to Hopeful Hounds, Inc., P.O. Box 285; Grovetown, GA 30813.
    • Register online at Strictly Running.
    • Register from 4:00pm - 7:00pm on Friday, January 19, at Fleet Feet in Augusta, GA (229 Furys Ferry Road)
    • Register the morning of the event from 8:00am - 9:45am at the Julian Smith BBQ Pit.

    Event T-shirts: Event t-shirts will be available to participants who register by January 11, 2019. T-Shirts are not guaranteed to participants who register after January 11, 2019. Extras will be ordered but they will be given out on a first come, first serve basis. Adult sizes S, M, L, XL and XXL ($5 extra) and youth sizes (S, M, L) will be available. There is an option to register without a t-shirt at a lower cost. The entry fee for the 1-Mile Fun Run is $15 with a t-shirt and $10 without a t-shirt. The Dog Gone Cold 5K is $25 with a t-shirt and $20 without a t-shirt through January 19, 2019 and $30 with a t-shirt and $25 without a t-shirt after January 19, 2019.

    Packet Pick-up: Registration packet pick-up will occur at the following dates, times and locations:

    • 4:00pm - 7:00pm at Fleet Feet in Augusta, GA (229 Furys Ferry Road) on Friday, January 25 
    • 8:00am - 9:45am at the Julian Smith BBQ Pit prior to the Dog Gone Cold 5k
    • 8:00am - 9:15am at the Julian Smith BBQ prior to the 1-Mile Fun Run

    Dogs: Dogs are welcome in the Dog Gone Cold 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run but please be courteous of fellow runners without dogs! All dogs MUST be leashed, well socialized and up to date on all vaccinations.

    Walkers: Walkers are encouraged to participate on the Dog Gone Cold 5k!

    Date and Time: The Dog Gone Cold 5K Run/Walk will begin at 10:00a.m. on January 26, 2019. The start line will be in front of the GreenJackets stadium on Milledge Road in Augusta, GA.

    Awards and Race Divisions for the 5K: Awards will be given to the overall top two male and female finishers as well as to the top two male and female finishers in each age division. An award will also be given to the top two male and female dog finishers. Age divisions are: 14 & Under; 15-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65 and up. 

    5K Timing: Electronic Timing for the 5K will be provided by Strictly Running of Columbia, SC.

    5K Course: The 5K will start in front of the GreenJackets stadium and will continue down in front of the CSRA Humane Society onto the Augusta Canal, loop back at the Augusta Waterworks and finish behind the Julian Smith BBQ Pit on Lake Olmstead.     5K Entry Fee: The Dog Gone Cold 5K non-refundable entry fee is $25 with a t-shirt and $20 without a t-shirt through January 19, 2019 and $30 with a t-shirt and $25 without a t-shirt after January 19, 2019.

    Dog Gone Cold 1-Mile Fun Run: The Dog Gone Cold 1-Mile Fun Run will begin at 9:30am on January 26, 2019 and is open to all ages. The non-refundable entry fee for the 1-Mile Fun Run is $15 with a t-shirt and $10 without a t-shirt. The 1-Mile Fun Run starts in front of the Julian Smith BBQ Pit and follows Milledge Road and turns left onto the path to follow Lake Olmstead to come up behind the Julian Smith BBQ Pit.

    About This Activity

    AUGUSTA UNIVERSITY HALF MARATHON, 10K & 5K

    Join us in Augusta! Augusta, Georgia means more than The Masters® and the sweet soul sound of Mr. James Brown. In recent years, it has become a destination city for all sorts of sports. The largest Half Ironman® in the world takes place here. World class competitions from disc golf to rowing regattas have found receptive galleries full of fervent fans in the Augusta area.

    The Augusta Sports Council enriches the quality of life and economic well-being for the Augusta metropolitan area by supporting and attracting sporting activities.

    Event details and schedule

    Registration and packet pick-up will take place during the Expo on Friday, February 22, 2019 from 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. at the Julian Smith Casino. All Augusta University Half Marathon, 10K & 5K participants will receive a race shirt, goody bag and post-race hospitality.

    Race day packet pick-up will ONLY be available from 6-7 a.m. on race day FOR PARTICIPANTS WHO PAID THE ADDITIONAL $20 FEE DURING REGISTRATION. Please note: Your first choice of shirt size may no longer be available during day-of packet pick-up.

    We also offer packet mailing if you are unable to attend the regular packet pick-up hours. You must sign up for packet mailing during the registration process and pay the $20 additional fee by FRIDAY, DECEMBER 28TH or your packet will not be mailed.     Your packet includes your bib, chip and 2018 apparel. If you opt for packet mailing, there is no requirement to attend the expo. Of course, we highly recommend checking it out as we always have a wonderful group of vendors every year. Your packet will be sent to you 2-4 weeks prior to the event.

    ​Please be sure to double check the mailing address during your registration process. There are no refunds for undelivered mail and no bib replacements.

    Run or walk in Augusta’s most scenic race.

    3 Bridges 5K, presented by Jordan Trotter Commercial Real Estate, is a gorgeous run on the Augusta Canal National Heritage Area’s River Levee Trail. This scenic course is a paved out-and-back, crossing three bridges along the Savannah River and canal, with start/finish at the Lake Olmstead Trailhead.

    T-SHIRTS

    T-shirt availability guaranteed to all pre-registered runners.

    T-shirts will be distributed to pre-registered entrants at packet pick-up on Friday and on race day beginning at 7:30 AM. Race-day entrants may pick up their shirt after the race while supplies last.

    We will not be able to hold shirts after race day.

    AWARDS

    Awards will be given to the following groups:

    Overall 1st, 2nd and 3rd place Male and Female (not eligible for Age Group awards)
    Age groups (1st, 2nd and 3rd place) 13 and under, 14-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-69, 70 and over.
    Start:

    We will have 2 starting waves. 13 and under 1st and the field 2nd.

    TIMING

    Chip Timed
    Clock time (gun time) is the official time for determining 1st, 2nd and 3rd overall place awards.
    Age group awards are based on one’s age on race day.
    Age group awards are based on official net time.
    All participants are assigned an electronic timing device prior to the event in their Participant Packet.
    Participants must wear their assigned timing device continuously to receive an accurate finish time.
    Strollers and leashed pets are NOT allowed on the course.

    PACKET PICK-UP

    We will have packet pick-up and late registration on Friday at Fleet Feet (229 Furys Ferry Rd, Augusta, GA 30907) from 4-6:30 pm and on Saturday morning from 7:45 till 8:30. Pick-up and registration close at 8:30 am.

    RACE DAY REGISTRATION

    Day of race registration will be available for $35.

    The Aiken Electric Cooperative Touchstone Energy RUN UNITED is now in its' seventh year and being held in historic downtown Aiken, SC.  The course winds around beautiful live oak trees, horse trails, training tracks, the Aiken Polo field and majestic properties.

    The purpose of RUN UNITED is to promote health and wellness while raising funds to benefit United Way of Aiken County.

    Check-in begins 6:30 a.m., Half Marathon run at 7:30 a.m., 5K at 8 a.m., Kids’ Fun Run at 9 a.m.  Awards immediately following race completion.

      Same day registration begins at 6:30 a.m. April 27th.  

    Register before April 4th and receive a Dri-Fit runners shirt.

    Please be advised Runners shirt are not unisex.

    We recommend choosing the next size up in shirts.

    Proceeds from the races are Tax-deductible and benefit the United Way of Aiken County.

    Participants registering by April 4, 2017 will receive a Dri-Fit runners shirt.  Registrations will be accepted up to race day.

    All half-marathon finishers will receive a medal regardless of their time.

    Please no animals or strollers on the 5K and Half Marathon race route.
