Here's a brief rundown on upcoming 5K, 10K and other Augusta area races. Please email us to submit your race.

    The Grass Roots Series is a family friendly event open to competitors of all ages and ability levels.  Bring your family, friends, or team.  All proceeds will benefit the Augusta University Cross Country and Track and Field programs. Awards will be given out to the top overall male and female and to the top runner in each age group by category.

    EDS Flowing Wells Campus.  Take Wrightsboro Road to Flowing Wells Road. Make a RIGHT on to Flowing Wells and follow this a little over a mile to the EDS campus (not the school).  Make a LEFT and parking is designated for the grassy areas that are marked. Do NOT park in areas not designated as such or along Flowing Wells Road or along the course.  

    Check all that apply.  *Note that only one race distance is run each week.

    June 3    –   3 Kilometers  (1.88 miles) @ 7:30am

    June 24  –   5 Kilometers  (3.11 miles) @ 7:30am

    July 8      –   8 Kilometers  (4.97 miles) @ 7:30am

    July 22    –   10 Kilometers  (6.2 miles) @ 7:30am


    $15 per race or $50* for all four races if paid in advance.

    Make checks payable to AU FOUNDATION.  Please list XC/Track on the memo line.

    T-Shirts are available for $10.  Your size is NOT guaranteed unless you pre-order before 5/30/17.

    Brief Description

    The Annual Yankee Doodle Dash will feature a 5K and 10K race on Augusta Canal Tow Path in a Bare Bones race format - no race shirt and limited race categories.

    • Lake Olmstead stadium at 78 Milledge Road in Augusta, GA

    Augusta Univ. Run for the GreenJackets will take place on August 26th, starting in front of the GreenJackets' Lake Olmstead stadium at 78 Milledge Road in Augusta, GA. 

    The route will take runners around Lake Olmstead, up part of Laurel Lane and then proceed toward Broad Street back to Milledge Road where runners will finish inside the stadium following along the warning track. 

    Registration

    Each paid race entry receives one entry into the race, a GreenJackets gift and one admission into that evenings game at approximately 6:05pm at GreenJackets' Stadium.

    The 4th Annual HBCU 5K Fun Run/Walk and Health Fair is sponsored by the Greater Augusta HBCU Alumni Alliance. The 5K run/walk starts at 8:00am at the Riverview Park Pavilion in North Augusta and follows the Greeneway out and back for a total of 3.1 miles. The course is flat and covered with a canopy of trees for shade. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place metals will be awarded to male and female overall winners. Race packets can be picked up on Friday, 9/15/17 at Fleet Feet Sports between 4:00pm and 7:00pm and on race day between 7:00am and 8:00am. The health and wellness fair is free to the public and starts at 9:00am. Be sure to wear your school colors and logos.

    The Greater Augusta HBCU Alumni Alliance was organized as a Non-profit organization in 2013.  Our purpose is to promote a greater awareness of Historically Black Colleges and Universities in the community and encourage high school students to attend an HBCU upon graduation.  We have awarded $12,000 in scholarships to graduating high school seniors planning to attend an HBCU.  We also sponsor an HBCU college fairs and a health fair each year.  Operating and scholarship funds are generated from an annual 5K race and donations.

    The ZERO Prostate Cancer Run/Walk - Augusta features a 5K run/walk, Kids' Superhero Dash for Dad, and virtual Snooze for Dudes program. Stick around for the family-friendly post-race celebration. Participants will receive tech shirts, free food, and the opportunity to connect with others who are impacted by prostate cancer.

    ZERO is proud to partner with Augusta Urology Associates to end prostate cancer. The funds raised from ZERO Prostate Cancer Run/Walk - Augusta are invested around the country to provide research for new treatments, free prostate cancer testing, and educate men and families about prostate cancer.
